DeShantra Moore Lewis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor (LCSW-S) located in Texas with over seventeen years of clinical practice experience-committed to supporting your mental health and life goals. DeShantra earned her Bachelor of Arts from Houston Baptist University, and Master of Social Work from Howard University School of Social Work. She began her career as a Mental Health Therapist at The Women’s Collective, in Washington, DC working with women of color living with HIV/AIDS, and she continued her career as a clinician working with people living with HIV/AIDS upon her returned to Texas providing services for pregnant mothers who tested positive for HIV. DeShantra has worked with diverse populations throughout the Texas Medical Center and ambulatory care clinics; and she has also served as a Field Instructor for students at Texas Southern University BSW Program, University of Houston MSW Program, Stephen F. Austin State University MSW Program, and she has mentored and continues to mentor new Social Workers by supporting them as they progress and develop in the profession.

When DeShantra’s not engaged in her life’s work, you can find her traveling, spending quality time with her husband Ernest, visiting with friends, eating amazing food, and laughing out loud somewhere near a beach.
